Britt Smith possesses extensive experience in public affairs and communications, currently serving as a Local Veteran Employment Representative for the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity since August 2018. Prior to this role, Britt held various positions, including Civilian Senior Media Analyst/Senior Communicator at the US Central Command Public Affairs Office, where strategic media trends were developed for briefings to senior commanders. Additional experience includes serving in the U.S. Army as a First Sergeant and Senior Public Affairs Specialist, as well as roles in public affairs with First Army and the 48th Brigade. Britt also has a background in television and public information, having served as News/Program Director at WDIG TV-35 and Public Information Officer for the North Central Health District. Educationally, Britt holds a Bachelor of Science degree with concentrations in marketing and journalism from Liberty University.
