Carl Chasteen

Carl Chasteen has a strong background in forensic services and analysis. Carl started their career as a Chemist II and Chemist III at the Ohio Fire Marshal in 1979, where they analyzed fire debris, explosives, latent print enhancement, and hazardous materials. Carl analyzed over 12,000 samples during their time there. In 1992, Carl joined the Florida Department of Financial Services as the Chief of Forensic Services. Under their leadership, they successfully transformed the Bureau of Forensic Fire and Explosives Analysis, eliminating a backlog of over 600 cases and significantly improving turnaround time. Carl has a dedicated and experienced team, with an average staff tenure of over 13 years. Overall, their work experience showcases their expertise in forensic analysis and their ability to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.

From 1975 to 1979, Carl Chasteen attended Ohio University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Forensic Chemistry.
