Alexis Thomas

Alexis Thomas, MPH, currently serves as an Environmental Health Inspector at the Florida Department of Health in Duval County since April 2021, where previous roles included Senior Human Services Program Analyst and Health Support Technician. Alexis has also contributed to public health education as a Public Health Peer Mentor and gained research experience as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of North Florida from August 2020 to August 2022. Prior experience includes positions as a Registrar at CareSpot Urgent Care, Referral Coordinator at Community Hospice & Palliative Care, and Nutrition Coordinator at Baptist Medical Center. Alexis holds a Master of Public Health with a focus on Epidemiology and a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from the University of North Florida, along with an Associate of Arts degree from Florida State College at Jacksonville.
