Gary Sokolow

Gary Sokolow is an accomplished transportation planner with extensive experience in urban planning and transportation systems. Currently serving as a Senior Transportation Planner at GFT since July 2025 and at Gannett Fleming since August 2018, Sokolow has a diverse background that includes roles at the Florida Department of Transportation, where services as an Urban Planner have been provided since 1985, and experience as a Transportation Planner at the Center for Urban Transportation Research (CUTR) from November 2019 to July 2025. Earlier career positions include transportation planning roles with Fulton County Government and the East Central Florida Regional Planning Council. Sokolow holds a Master's degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Florida State University, earned between 1975 and 1977.
