Frederick Deraney

Frederick Deraney has extensive experience in claims examination, contract management, and logistics. Currently serving as a Veterans' Claims Examiner with the Florida Department of Veterans' Affairs since December 2019, Frederick assists veterans and their dependents with claims before the USDVA. Prior to this role, experience includes serving as a Contracting Officer at the Gainesville Housing Authority from January 2013 to December 2019, and as a Purchasing Specialist at Del-Jen, Inc. from July 2011 to July 2012, where responsibilities included compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation and vendor relationship management. Frederick's military background includes over 22 years in the US Navy as a Storekeeper and Logistics Specialist, managing inventory, financial records, and postal services. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a focus on Management and Logistics from Saint Leo University and an Associate in Applied Science from Santa Fe College.
