Jason W. Wilson, MD, PhD, CPE, FACEP serves as a Professor and Chairman of the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of South Florida since July 2008, and is a core faculty member and Research Director in the Emergency Medicine program. Wilson has extensive experience in clinical education, quality improvement initiatives, and interdisciplinary research, including leading projects such as the Sepsis Quality Improvement Boot Camp. Currently, Wilson holds multiple roles at Tampa General Hospital, including Chief of Emergency Medicine and Medical Director for various quality initiatives. Wilson’s academic contributions extend to teaching a medical anthropology course and serving on various committees focused on healthcare policy, quality improvement, and patient safety. Education includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Anthropology and a Medical Doctorate from the University of South Florida, complemented by advanced training in emergency medicine and health care administration.
