Peter Chang

SVP & Chief Transformation Officer at Tampa General Hospital

Dr. Peter Chang is the Vice President of Healthcare Design at Tampa General Hospital (TGH), a nationally renowned nonprofit academic medical center.

Dr. Chang leads the development, implementation, administration, and operation of TGH’s Length of Stay Program and the TGH CareComm Center. In addition to his role at the hospital, Dr. Chang is a voluntary assistant professor at the USF Health.

Prior to joining Tampa General, Dr. Chang served as an assistant professor of medicine and Director Internal Medicine Residency at USF Health. He started his career in healthcare as the director patient services and information technology for Oxycare Inc., based in Maryland.

Dr. Chang is a board member of MORE Health Inc. and the Tampa General Medical Group. He has been honored with several industry awards, including the American College of Physicians Resident Award, the Tampa General Hospital Nathan L. Marcus Award for Outstanding Resident, Internal Medicine Outstanding Resident Educator Award and Top 50 Healthcare Leaders Under 40.

Dr. Chang earned his Doctor of Medicine at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine and he completed his Bachelor of Science in biology at the University of South Florida.
