Thomas Cairo

Thomas Cairo serves as the System Vice President for the Neuroscience Institute and Orthopaedic Institute at Tampa General Hospital since July 2022. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Director of the Neurosciences Service Line at Bayhealth, where significant achievements included establishing a neurology division and elevating the Sussex campus to a Primary Stroke Center. Cairo has also held various administrative positions at Albany Medical Center, overseeing the Department of Neurosurgery and implementations such as the Patient Centered Medical Home initiative. Educational credentials include a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, both from the University at Albany.
