Laura Anstead

Laura Anstead has a diverse work experience that spans over two decades. Laura started their career as a Litigation Associate at Davidoff Malito & Hutcher in 1999 and then moved to Wilson Elser in 2000. After that, they worked at Peterson & Ross as a Litigation Associate in 2001, and then joined Kemper Insurance as a Claims Counsel in 2002. In 2003, they worked as an Underwriting Consultant at CNA. In 2006, they transitioned to the legal field and became an Assistant Public Defender at the Public Defender's office. Laura then worked as an Assistant Regional Conflict Counsel at Regional Conflict Counsel from 2008 to 2009. Afterwards, they served as a Managing Attorney at the Florida Department of Financial Services from 2009 to 2014. Since 2014, they have been working as the Policy Chief at the Florida House of Representatives. Additionally, they volunteered at Justice Teaching from 2010 to 2015.

Laura Anstead earned their High School Diploma from John I Leonard. Laura went on to study at The University of Alabama for two years before transferring to Florida State University, where they obtained a BA in History. Later, they attended South Texas College of Law Houston and obtained a JD degree in Law.
