Konstantin Bukhryakov

Associate Professor at Florida International University

Konstantin Bukhryakov is an Assistant Professor at Florida International University since August 2018, specializing in organic and organometallic chemistry as well as catalysis. Prior to this role, Bukhryakov served as a Postdoctoral Associate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from November 2015 to August 2018, focusing on the synthesis and applications of molybdenum and tungsten-based catalysts for olefin metathesis. Earlier experience includes a Postdoctoral Fellowship at KAUST from November 2012 to October 2015, where Bukhryakov worked on the synthesis and applications of amphiphilic molecules in materials science and catalysis. Bukhryakov also held the position of Senior Research Scientist at ChemRar High Tech Center from July 2006 to October 2012, conducting contract R&D and synthesizing new compounds for pharmaceutical clients. Bukhryakov holds a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Lomonosov Moscow State University and a Bachelor's degree in Organic Chemistry from Tyumen State University.
