Mariam Barrueco

Mariam Barrueco possesses extensive experience in administrative roles within academic institutions and corporate environments. Currently serving as a Junior Special Events Manager in the Engineering Deans Office and Center for Diversity and Student Success at Florida International University since May 2014, Mariam also holds the position of Office Manager for AMERI LAB within the Mechanical & Materials Engineering Department. Prior to this, Mariam worked as a Program Specialist, providing support to academic leaders and assisting students at FIU's School of Biomedical, Materials, and Mechanical Engineering. Earlier career positions include roles at the University of Miami as a Department Secretary and Student Aid Processor, and a significant tenure at American Express as a Global Network Coordinator. Educational background includes an Associate of Arts and Sciences degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Puerto Rico-Bayamon.
