The Florida Lottery
Biraj Patel is a software developer with a strong background in computer science and engineering. Currently working at The Florida Lottery since August 2023, Biraj has previously gained experience at Tata Consultancy Services from October 2021 to January 2023 and completed an internship as a software developer at the University of Windsor from January 2021 to April 2021. Biraj holds a Master of Computer Applications in Computer Science from the University of Windsor, obtained between 2020 and 2021, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Information Technology from Sarvajanik College of Engineering & Technology, earned from 2014 to 2018.
The Florida Lottery
In 1986, Florida voters authorized a lottery through a constitutional amendment, enacted by a two-to-one margin that would use its proceeds to enhance public education in Florida. Governor Bob Martinez and the Florida Legislature established the Florida Lottery with the mission of maximizing revenues for education to allow the people of Florida to benefit from significant additional monies while providing the best lottery games available. Over the history of the Florida Lottery, both goals have been accomplished.
