Dawn Crooks has extensive experience in sales and merchandising within various retail environments, primarily in Florida. Since September 2010, Crooks has served as a sales representative for the State of Florida Lottery, recognized as a TOP TEN Sales Rep in 2016, focusing on the South Florida area including Fort Lauderdale. Previously, Crooks worked at Acosta as a Merchandiser and New Hire Trainer, managing a territory of Wal-Mart accounts and enhancing client sales. This role followed a position at Proctor & Gamble as Retail Market Manager, where responsibilities included managing and training part-time merchandisers. Earlier roles also include Retail Sales Representative positions at Proctor & Gamble and Warner Lambert/Pfizer, where Crooks conducted sales initiatives and training seminars. Education includes a high school diploma from Belvidere High School and further studies at Edison College.

The Florida Lottery
In 1986, Florida voters authorized a lottery through a constitutional amendment, enacted by a two-to-one margin that would use its proceeds to enhance public education in Florida. Governor Bob Martinez and the Florida Legislature established the Florida Lottery with the mission of maximizing revenues for education to allow the people of Florida to benefit from significant additional monies while providing the best lottery games available. Over the history of the Florida Lottery, both goals have been accomplished.
