Frederick L. Hunter Jr.

Frederick L. Hunter Jr., PhD, MSW, currently serves as the Dean of the School of Education and Social Sciences at Florida Memorial University, where responsibilities include representing the institution and fostering an inclusive academic environment. With extensive experience in social work education, Frederick has held various roles, such as Associate Professor, Interim Dean, and Director of Social Work, overseeing accreditation and curriculum development. Previous positions include faculty leadership at Tougaloo College and Mississippi State University. Frederick holds multiple degrees, including a PhD in Urban and Regional Planning from Jackson State University and an MSW from Loyola University Chicago, demonstrating a strong academic foundation in sociology and social work.
