Stuart C Malina

Principal Guest Conductor at The Florida Orchestra

Stuart C Malina is an accomplished conductor with extensive experience in orchestral music. Serving as Music Director of The Harrisburg Symphony Orchestra since July 2000, Malina also holds the position of Principal Guest Conductor at The Florida Orchestra since July 2012 and Music Director at Lake Placid Sinfonietta since September 2019. Additionally, Malina worked as Music Supervisor and Orchestrator for the Broadway production "Movin' Out" from January 2001 to December 2009, earning a Tony Award for Orchestration in 2003. Prior experience includes Music Director roles with The Greensboro Symphony Orchestra and The Charleston Symphony Orchestra. Malina's educational background includes an Artist Diploma in Orchestral Conducting from the Curtis Institute of Music, a Master of Music in Orchestral Conducting from Yale University School of Music, and a Bachelor of Arts in Music Theory and Composition from Harvard University.
