James Suh

Chief Financial Officer at Florida Panthers

James Suh was named Chief Financial Officer of the Florida Panthers in 2023. In his role, Suh oversees all aspects of Sunrise, Sports and Entertainment's financial and legal affairs.

Prior to joining the Panthers, the Toronto, Ontario, native spent over 11 years with Maple Leaf Sport & Entertainment (MLSE), rising to the position of Vice President of Finance. While with MLSE, Suh oversaw all aspects of the budget, forecast and Strat planning processes of the company, focusing on bottom-line growth, enterprise value creation, and cash flow maximization. Suh also spent a one-year secondment in HR as the Senior Director of Total Rewards & Technology, focusing on compensation, benefits and org structure effectiveness. In his time at MLSE, he has served on the SportsX committee (focusing on innovation through technology) and the AEIG (Asian Employee Inclusion Group).

Suh spent time as Manager of Real Estate & Construction with Canadian Tire, where he lead his team on all FP&A and accounting activities for the company. He also served as a Senior Financial Analyst with multinational consumer goods company Unilever.

Following his graduation from the University of Toronto with a bachelor's degree in commerce, Suh joined PricewaterhouseCoopers where he completed his Chartered Accountant (CA) designation, serving as a senior associate.
