David Pessenda

David Pessenda, MA, CSP, currently serves as Principal PGD Safety Specialist at Florida Power & Light since July 2023. With extensive experience in safety and operational excellence, previous roles include Manager of Safety and Operational Excellence at ALLETE from November 2015 to June 2023 and various positions at Minnesota Power, including Operational Excellence Manager and Renewable Business Operations Manager. David has also contributed to education as an Adjunct Faculty member at The College of St. Scholastica and an Online Instructor at Duluth Business University. Earlier career experience includes roles in maintenance scheduling, operations coordination, and firefighting. David holds a Master of Science in Occupational Health and Safety from Columbia Southern University, as well as degrees in Management and Organizational Behavior from The College of St. Scholastica.
