Lisa Boemmel is currently employed as the Deputy Director at Florida Rural Legal Services, Inc. Lisa also served as an Assistant Attorney General at the Florida Office of the Attorney General. With a Juris Doctor degree from The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law, Lisa has a background in law and a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Administration/Management from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Additionally, Lisa held roles at The Holiday Inn on The Hill, serving as Director of Catering and Front Office/Guest Services Manager.

Florida Rural Legal Services, Inc. (FRLS) was founded in 1966 as a private, non-profit corporation. FRLS provides free civil legal assistance to indigents and low-income elderly people in thirteen counties in South Central Florida. FRLS also provides legal assistance to migrant workers throughout the state of Florida. Currently, FRLS has five regional offices with a staff of over 100, including 50 plus attorneys, specializing in Elder Law, Employment, Economic Stability, Housing and Farm-Worker Law. We also provide high quality services in such areas as Public Benefits, Civil Rights and Family Law. Each year FRLS closes approximately 10,000 cases.
