Sherry Gaynor is currently working as an Instructor of Culinary Arts at the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind since July 2021. Prior to this, Sherry served as a Career Program Specialist at St. Johns County District Schools for over 20 years. Sherry has an extensive background in culinary arts, with experience as an Executive Pastry Chef at various establishments, including Southside Grill and 212 Market. Sherry has also worked as a Chef Instructor at First Coast Technical College and Florida School for the Deaf and Blind, teaching culinary arts to students at both secondary and post-secondary levels. Additionally, Sherry has experience as a Food Writer for various publications and holds multiple degrees in education and vocational training.

The Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind (FSDB) was established in 1885 with support of the State of Florida and private contributions.Based in St. Augustine, we are recognized as one of the top schools for the deaf and blind in the nation and the only one of its kind in Florida. FSDB is a fully accredited, tuition-free state public school foreligible Pre-K and K-12 students who are deaf/hard of hearing, blind/visually impaired, or deafblind.
