Amanda Zirzow is an experienced academic and visual artist currently serving as a Professor and Adjunct Professor at Florida SouthWestern State College since May 2022. With a background in molecular biology and biology, Amanda earned a BS from George Mason University and an MS from the same institution, followed by further education at Georgetown University. Previous roles include RUI University Fellow at Retirement Unlimited Inc., Wildlife Technician at Meridian Bird Removal, and Science Lab Manager - Instructor at Florida SouthWestern State College. Amanda's professional history also features positions as a Biosphere 2 Staff Aquarist at the University of Arizona, Graduate Research Assistant at Georgetown University, and IRTA Fellow at the National Institutes of Health. Amanda has maintained an active presence in the art world through Zirzow Gallery as a visual artist since April 2020.
