Dr. Jackie R. Beard Jr., Ed.d

Dr. Jackie R. Beard Jr., Ed.D, is an experienced higher education professional currently serving as the Director of Student Transitions at Florida SouthWestern State College since October 2014. In this role, Dr. Beard focuses on enhancing student success through strategic programs aimed at improving retention and graduation rates. Additional roles include Adjunct Professor of Student Success, guiding first-year students, and previous positions in student engagement and enrollment services, all emphasizing mentorship and support for student success. Dr. Beard holds a Doctor of Education degree in Educational Leadership and Management from Capella University, along with a Master’s and Bachelor’s in Educational Leadership and Social Work, respectively.
