Geoffrey Brown

Geoffrey Brown has extensive experience in educational and environmental coordination. Currently serving as Lab Coordinator at Florida State University since February 2011, Geoffrey oversees two biology lab courses and supervises a diverse team including graduate students and lab staff. Previous roles include Environmental Scientist III at the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, where Geoffrey coordinated restoration contracts for Silver and Rainbow Springs, and Community Partnerships Coordinator at the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. Additional experience encompasses positions as Environmental Resources Extension Agent at the University of Florida Extension and leadership roles in international programs with the International Visitors Council and the Peace Corps. Geoffrey holds an MS in Agricultural Economics from The Ohio State University and a BS in Biology, Aquatic Ecology, and Marine Science from Penn State University.
