Jamila Holcomb, Ph.D., LMFT, currently serves as Specialized Teaching Faculty at Florida State University since August 2019 and is an AAMFT Approved Supervisor with the AAMFT since September 2021. As the owner of Holcomb Counseling and Consulting, LLC since August 2018, Jamila specializes in individual, family, and trauma counseling while also providing consultation and training on anti-Black racism, diversity, equity, and inclusion in mental health and higher education. Jamila's previous roles include serving as an Adjunct Professor at Florida State University, a Clinical Counselor at Children's Home Society of Florida, and a Graduate Assistant for teaching and research at Florida State University. Jamila holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Marriage and Family Therapy from Florida State University and a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Northwestern University, complemented by a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Spanish from Trinity University.
