Sam Staley is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in public policy and research. Currently serving as the Director of the DeVoe L. Moore Center at Florida State University since January 2014, Staley oversees a full-time staff and manages a comprehensive internship program focused on skill-building in research and data analysis. Previously, Staley held leadership positions including Chair of the Board of Directors at Unhoused Humanity, which successfully addressed homelessness in Tallahassee, and Managing Director at the DeVoe L. Moore Center. Staley has also contributed to urban and land use policy as Director at the Reason Foundation, and held various roles at The Buckeye Institute, including President. Staley's academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Public Administration from The Ohio State University, an MS in Social and Applied Economics from Wright State University, and a BA in Economics and Public Policy from Colby College.
