Rob Cryan

Chief Technology Officer at Florida Virtual School

Rob Cryan is the Chief Information Security Officer for Florida Virtual School (FLVS) and FlexPoint, the national arm of Florida Virtual School serving schools and districts around the nation. In this role, he is responsible for cybersecurity risk management for an internally developed multi-tenant SaaS (software as a service) education suite as well as other internal applications and assets. Additionally, his expertise includes financial profit and loss management, regulatory compliance, and ongoing technology management.

Mr. Cryan has held the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification since 2005. He is an accomplished technology and services leader with more than 27 years of experience. Prior to joining FLVS, he was Senior Director for Global Services, Financial Operations at UiPath, where he led the effort to audit and recoup approximately $500k in revenue. Mr. Cryan has demonstrated his ability to implement and improve systems and operations, manage budgets, and renegotiate contracts and agreements, saving tens of thousands of dollars for start-ups and Fortune 500 companies.

He holds a Master of Sciences in Information Systems and Technology Management, Information Assurance & Security from Capella University, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Management from the University of Maine. Mr. Cryan served in the United States Marine Corps in electronic countermeasures.
