Leigh Williams

Leigh Williams has over 20 years of experience in the technology industry. In 2000, they began their career as a Senior UI Developer at Delano Technology, where they created a resource management tool to localize the User Interface of Delano's Velocity suite. In 2002, they moved to Canada Post as a Senior Technical Consultant, where they integrated 15+ merchants with Borderfree's order fulfillment technology. From 2006 to 2011, they were the Senior Development Manager at Mindblossom, rebuilding the development team from the ground up while still meeting all existing deadlines. From 2011 to 2014, they were a Lead iOS Developer and iOS/Grails Developer at Spoke Technologies, where they rapidly architected and developed a prototype iOS (iPad) App and Grails web application for SPOKEnPHOTO. From 2014 to 2016, they were a Grails Architect at Capital IT, implementing a custom security/authorization solution based on Spring Security. From 2016 to 2018, they were an iOS/C++ Developer at mobileLIVE Inc., developing a Swift 3.0 app for controlling iOS devices interface including springboard. In 2018, they moved to IDENTOS Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer, developing and maintaining a Digital Wallet allowing users to manage their identity and building a COVID 19 contact tracing app for iOS and Android. Leigh is currently an iOS Developer at Flosonics Medical.

Leigh Williams obtained a Bsc in Computer Science from Dalhousie University between 1995 and 1996. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Machine Learning from Coursera in July 2017, and have certifications in Structuring Machine Learning Projects, Big Data Analysis with Scala and Spark, Functional Program Design in Scala, Functional Programming Principles in Scala, Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization, and Neural Networks and Deep Learning from Coursera.
