Ricky Yean has a long and varied work experience. In 2021, they became the Co-Founder and CEO of Flow Club. From 2018 to 2021, they were the Operations at DIRT Protocol, a protocol for decentralized information curation. From 2015 to 2018, they were the Co-Founder and CEO of Upbeat. From 2010 to 2015, they were the Co-Founder and CEO of Crowdbooster. From 2009 to 2010, they were the SuperIntern at Eventbrite. In 2009, they were the Co-President of Pi Tau Chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi. In 2008, they were the Campus Associate at Alsop-Louie Partners. In 2007, they were the Co-President of the Business Association of Stanford Entrepreneurial Students and the Product Manager of a startup.

Ricky Yean attended Stanford University from 2006 to 2010, where they received a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, and Society (Information & Society). In 2010, they became an Alumni of Y Combinator.
