James Morrison Steward

James Morrison Steward has over 20 years of work experience in the field of systems engineering. James began their career in 2001 as a Systems Engineering Technician - Section Leader with the Royal Signals - 14th (E.W) Signal Regiment. In this role, they were responsible for a team of 8 on a number of concurrent projects, all required planning to a military standard including quality, risk, capability benefit and business case resulting in a lightweight PID. In 2007, they moved to Thales as a Systems Engineer - Site Manager, where they were in charge of the successful installation and commissioning of a secure Communications hub in Kandahar. James then joined Purple Secure Systems in 2008 as a Systems Engineer, responsible for systems verification, validation, qualification and acceptance within a high-pressure environment. In 2011, they joined The Waypoint as Chief Operating Officer & Co-Founder and TransEurope Marinas as Technical Director. In this role, they were responsible for the transition of TransEurope Marinas (TEM) into the digital future. In 2019, they co-founded Flow Sports Technology Co.,Ltd and in 2021, they became Co-Founder & CEO of Flow Recovery.

James Morrison Steward attended the Defence College of Communications and Information Systems from 2001 to 2003, where they earned a Class 3 degree in Radio Systems Engineering. In 2007, they obtained a PRINCE2 Registered Practitioner certification from the APM Group. James also holds an NVQ Level 3 in Telecommunications Technology.
