Crystal Z. has a diverse work experience starting with their current role as an Analytics Engineer at Flowcode® since November 2021. Prior to Flowcode®, they worked at Twilio as a Compliance Operations Analyst and Risk Analyst II from October 2019 to November 2021. Before that, Crystal was a Design Associate at Minted from October 2018 to March 2019. Crystal also worked as a Research Associate II at SYNVIVIA from September 2017 to September 2018 and as a Research Assistant at Arkin Lab in Berkeley Lab from November 2016 to August 2017. Crystal has also gained experience as an Illustrator, Ad Designer, and Project Manager at The Daily Californian from June 2015 to June 2017. Additionally, they were a Research Intern at Keasling Lab in the Joint BioEnergy Institute from July 2016 to November 2016. Crystal started their career as an Undergraduate Researcher at Brar Lab in the University of California, Berkeley from June 2015 to July 2016, where they developed skills in molecular and cell biology research, genetic manipulation, and working with microorganisms such as S. cerevisiae and E. coli. Crystal also has teaching experience as a Teacher at Kaplan from June 2015 to April 2016 and volunteer experience at Alta Bates Summit Medical Center, Inc. from March 2015 to March 2016.

Crystal Z. completed their education at various institutions. From 2009 to 2013, they attended San Joaquin Delta College, where they obtained an Associate of Science degree with a focus on Math & Science, Natural Sciences, Humanities, and Elementary Education. Following this, they pursued their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, from 2013 to 2016. More recently, in 2020-2021, Crystal attended City College of San Francisco, specializing in Scriptwriting.
