Bret Hathaway

Bret Hathaway has extensive work experience in the agricultural and consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry. Bret'smost recent role is as the Senior Director - Commodities & Risk Management at Flowers Foods & Subsidiaries, a $4.5 billion CPG company. Prior to that, they worked as the Team Lead - Global Commodities and Risk Management at Lamb Weston, a $4+ billion CPG company. Bret also gained experience at Conagra Brands, where they held multiple roles, including Manager - Agricultural Procurement & Risk Management and Procurement Manager. Bret started their career at AgSystems as a Grain Production Specialist Trainee. Throughout their career, Bret has managed commodity procurement, hedging, and physical supply chain activities, and has worked with various agricultural products such as corn, wheat, soybeans, and edible oils.

Bret Hathaway has a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Agricultural and Applied Economics from Virginia Tech. Bret also holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Agriculture and Applied Economics - Agribusiness Management and an Associate of Agriculture degree in Agricultural Technology, both from Virginia Tech. Bret Hathaway has an additional certification, a Series 3 Commodities License, from the National Futures Association.
