Dan M. has a diverse work experience in various industries. Dan started their career at NWEA as a Tier II Support Engineer for partner services. Dan then worked at Smarsh as a Support Technician in Client Services. After that, they worked at Overtly IT as a Consultant, providing computer and networking support. Dan also had a role at Swift Agency as a Support Desk in IT and Network Operations. Dan ventured into entrepreneurship as an Author, Owner, and Publisher of Prose City Books.

Later on, they joined COFENSE as an Information Security Program Manager in Professional Services and also worked as a Support Engineer in the Technical Operations Center. Dan then worked at Degreed as a Technical Success Manager and later as a Technical Implementation Consultant.

Dan M. also had a role as a Technical Account Manager at CipherTrace, where they dealt with cryptocurrency anti-money laundering and forensics. Lastly, they worked at The Bellingham Makerspace, where they served as the President of the Board of Directors and volunteered for various roles.

Most recently, Dan M. has been working as a Lead Threat Detection and Response Analyst at Flowers Foods & Subsidiaries.

Dan M. attended DeVry University from 2003 to 2004, where they studied Computer Information Systems. Later, in 2009-2010, they enrolled at ITT Technical Institute and focused on Computer Network Systems. In terms of certifications, they obtained several qualifications including Security+ from CompTIA in April 2018, PhishMe Certified from COFENSE in August 2017, and two certifications from CipherTrace: CipherTrace Certified Examiner in 2020 and Certified Cryptocurrency Risk Specialist (CCRS) - Tier I in 2021. Furthermore, they completed the Public Speaking Foundations course offered by Lynda.com in 2018.
