Joanna Sutton

Joanna Sutton is a seasoned legal professional currently serving as SVP of M&A, Assistant Corporate Secretary, and Assistant General Counsel at Flowers Foods & Subsidiaries since August 2022. Prior to this role, Joanna spent nearly nine years at JONES DAY®, progressing from M&A Associate to Assistant General Counsel and Assistant Corporate Secretary while also holding the title of VP of M&A. Joanna's legal experience began with a judicial externship at the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Virginia and a summer associate position at Jones Day. Joanna's academic background includes a Juris Doctor from Washington and Lee University School of Law, a Master of Arts in International Business from the University of Florida - Warrington College of Business, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing from the same institution.
