Gianluca Carenzo

Gianluca Carenzo is an expert in technology transfer and innovation in the Life Sciences area.

Currently, he is the Head of the Innovation Ecosystem for HIT-Hub Innovazione Trentino, the innovation agency of one of the most innovative regions in Italy (northeast). He was General Manager of PTP-science park (Lodi, Italy). Gianluca founded two specialized business incubators that contributed to the creation of more than 50 start-ups in biotech. Since 2014, he has led the creation and the development of FlowMetric Europe, managing site locations (Lodi and Bresso), new business, and the coordination of the branch activities.

Since 2010, he has acted as the coordinator of the national working group on Industrial Biotechnology and Bioeconomy in ASSOBIOTEC, the Italian association of biotech industries, affiliated to Confindustria-Federchimica.

Gianluca was also the President of APSTI, the Italian association of Science and Technology Parks in the period 2015-2018 (now Past President).
