Jose Rodrigo Tobar Alvarado has extensive experience in the mining and engineering sectors, currently serving as the Business Process & Development Manager for Global Digital Services at FLSmidth since 2013. In this role, Jose Rodrigo identifies new business models and develops strategies to meet company targets. Previous positions include Head of Development & Productivity for South America, where Jose Rodrigo successfully implemented sustainable productivity improvement programs, and Project Manager overseeing global product integration initiatives. Jose Rodrigo’s career began with engineering roles at companies such as Bechtel Corporation, ThyssenKrupp, and Hatch, focusing on project design and proposal development. Jose Rodrigo holds a degree in Civil Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s in Engineering Sciences from Universidad de Santiago de Chile, as well as a diploma in Corporate Sustainability and Innovation from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Additionally, English language proficiency has been attained through studies at Langports English Language College.
