Lenin Wung Kum

Lenin Wung Kum is a Senior Fire Test Engineer at Fluence since June 2025, specializing in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). Concurrently, Lenin serves as an Engineering Consultant Associate on the Electrical Engineering & Computer Science Team at Exponent, focusing on high voltage battery pack testing and failure analysis. Prior experience includes a PhD Research Assistant role at the University of Dayton Research Institute, conducting research on lithium-ion batteries and energy storage systems from August 2018 to August 2023, while also serving as a Teaching Assistant in the same department, supervising projects and lecturing on energy storage device fabrication and testing. Lenin's engineering career began with an internship at Beximco Textile in early 2017, contributing to the operation of various energy production systems. Lenin holds a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Dayton and a Master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Islamic University of Technology.
