Sofia Polo has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Sofia has worked at Fluent Research since 2019, starting as a Research Strategist and eventually becoming the Director of Research Strategy. In this position, they manage internal research teams and works with clients to define project objectives and specifications. Prior to Fluent Research, Sofia worked as a Participatory Action Research Consultant at the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, where they led a research project focused on health-promoting assets in Latino enclaves. Sofia also has experience in retail, having worked as a Sales Associate at Gap and Forever 21. In addition, Sofia has been involved in research and community-based projects at Occidental College and other organizations, contributing as a Research Assistant, Community Program Planning Fellow, Food Access Student Intern, and Research Intern, among other roles. Throughout their career, Sofia has demonstrated a strong commitment to research, community engagement, and program evaluation.
Sofia Polo completed their Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in Sociomedical Sciences at Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health from 2016 to 2018. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Urban & Environmental Policy from Occidental College from 2012 to 2016.
