Joakim Wahlberg has a diverse range of work experience. Joakim'smost recent position is as the Chief Financial Officer at Fluicell AB, where they started in 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Pulsen as the Group Chief Financial Officer, starting in 2019. In this role, they were responsible for the Group's finance, management control, and supporting the subsidiaries' strategic progress. Joakim also focused on digital transformation and modernization of the finance function.
Before joining Pulsen, Wahlberg worked as a Guest Lecturer at Handelshögskolan vid Göteborgs universitet from 2018 to 2019. Joakim taught a course on Management Accounting as part of the MSc program "Accounting and Finance Management."
From 2014 to 2018, Wahlberg served as the Group Chief Financial Officer at Argynnis Group AB. Joakim worked closely with the group CEO, board of directors, and local subsidiary management. During their time at Argynnis, the group experienced international expansion and they played a significant role in the acquisition and start-up of companies in different countries.
In 2013, Wahlberg founded InventiveBoard AB, where they offered an IT system for management of innovation processes, supported by consultancy services. Joakim also provided management consultancy services in their own company, JW Business Control AB, from 2010 to 2014. Joakim'smain focus was on M&A processes, due diligence, valuation, negotiation, and integration. Joakim also provided services in group accounting, management controlling, and ERP- and BI-integration projects.
Wahlberg's earlier work experience includes roles such as the Group Chief Financial Officer at Binar AB from 2007 to 2010, where they led the finance functions within the group and played a key role in acquisitions and the implementation of a group consolidation reporting tool. Joakim also worked as the Financial Manager at Royal Canin Sverige AB from 2004 to 2007 and as a Controller at SAB Wabco Group AB from 2003 to 2003. Joakim started their career as a Bank Clerk at Swedbank from 2000 to 2002.
Throughout their career, Wahlberg has demonstrated a strong skillset in finance, management control, M&A processes, and consultancy services.
Joakim Wahlberg's education history begins with their Bachelor of Science in Business and Economics, majoring in Business Administration, which they obtained from the University of Borås in 2001. Following that, they pursued a Msc-exam in GBS - Accounting & Finance from the School of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg, graduating in 2003.
After a gap, Joakim returned to the same institution for further education. Joakim earned a Licentiate's degree / Ekonomie licentiat examen in Företagsekonomi in the years 2010 to 2013.
Currently, Joakim is a Ph.D. Candidate in Business Administration at the School of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg since 2013.
