Niek Welkenhuysen

Niek Welkenhuysen has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and companies. Niek is currently employed as a Development Engineer at Fluicell AB since May 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Post-Doc at the department of Biology and Biotechnology, Chalmers University of Technology from February 2019 to May 2021. In this role, they conducted research on the formation and behavior of protein aggregates and characterized the processes contributing to protein aggregation.

Niek also served as an Advisor and co-founder at Lucero Bio from March 2019 to September 2020. In this capacity, they provided guidance and expertise in the field.

Before that, they worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the department of mathematical sciences, Chalmers University of Technology and the University of Gothenburg from February 2017 to February 2019.
