Joseph Szczap started their work experience in 1990 as an entry level engineer at Fluid Air, Inc., a privately owned OEM. Over the course of 19 years, they progressed to become the Director of the Equipment Division, overseeing the production of custom engineered solid dosage and bulk handling process equipment for fine chemical and pharmaceutical companies. In 2009, they became an independent consultant for Equipment Engineering and later joined Fluid Air as the Director of Engineering and Operations. In January 2019, they were promoted to Vice President of Operations.

Joseph Szczap attended the University of Illinois Chicago from 1985 to 1989, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. Additionally, they attended Triton College from 1987 to 1988 and received a degree in Machinist.
