Tuan Hoang

Tuan Hoang received his B.S. degree in biological sciences from the California Institute of Technology, Pasadena . As a doctoral graduate student in the Interdepartmental Ph.D. Program for Neuroscience at UCLA, Tuan focused on applying neuroengineering principles for the study of neurodegeneration and neurorepair through the use of animal models. Since 2006, he has been a faculty member in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles. At USC, he also holds a part-time Co-Directorship of the USC-Coulter Translational Research Partnership Program to assist university-oriented startup companies and part-time lectureship in two undergraduate/graduate courses in biomimetic neuroengineering implants and medical device designs and innovation.
