Courtney Claflin

Courtney Claflin is an experienced insurance professional with a robust background in captive insurance and risk management. Currently serving as Head of Insurance at Fluid Truck since May 2022, Courtney oversees the design and implementation of captive insurance solutions to manage organizational risks. Previously, between April 2015 and July 2022, Courtney held the position of Executive Director - Captive Insurance Programs at the University of California, Office of the President, where leadership facilitated the establishment of Fiat Lux Risk and Insurance Company. Courtney also served as the National Captive Insurance Practice Leader at CBIZ from January 2011 to May 2014, and as Vice President of Alternative Risk at RJF Agencies, Inc. from 1998 to 2011, where notable alternative risk platforms were developed. Courtney started a career in the insurance industry at Federated Insurance as a Senior Marketing Representative from 1983 to 1998, following a business degree from Gustavus Adolphus College.
