Teresa Barnes is an experienced professional in respiratory medicine and patient advocacy, currently serving as President of fluidIQ since August 2020, where Teresa advocates for patients and researchers. In addition, Teresa has been a Senior Consultant since December 2015, focusing on rare lung diseases such as Interstitial Lung Disease and Pulmonary Fibrosis, along with public relations and government relations. Past roles include Medical Journal Section Editor for the Annals of the American Thoracic Society and serving as Emeritus, Past Chair of the Public Advisory Roundtable at the American Thoracic Society. Teresa also held leadership positions at the Coalition for Pulmonary Fibrosis and Microlife USA. An alumnus of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Teresa holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism/Mass Communications/Broadcast.
