Hannes Björninen

Hannes Björninen is the Chief Operating Officer at Fluidit since April 2020, where the responsibilities include overseeing day-to-day operations and leading consulting and software development teams in urban hydrology and stormwater management. Prior to this role, Hannes served as a Senior Water Engineer and Design Lead at various engineering firms, including Cardno and Spiire, specializing in flood studies and resource management. Hannes has also worked as a self-employed consultant, providing water engineering expertise and personal insights while traveling in Australia and New Zealand. Notably, Hannes participated in the UNLEASH Innovation Lab in 2019, focusing on solutions for the UN's Sustainable Development Goals. Hannes holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Tampere University of Technology.
