Matthew Bainsmith

Matthew Bainsmith has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Matthew began their career as a Research Associate at the University of Utah from September 2010 to June 2012. Later on, in February 2014, they worked as a Manufacturing Engineer at Edwards Lifesciences until September 2014. In October 2014, Matthew joined Biomerics as a Quality Engineer, where they stayed until October 2015. Following that, they joined Merit Medical Systems, Inc. and held various positions, including R&D Manufacturing Engineer II from October 2015 to March 2017, R&D Manufacturing Engineer III from March 2017 to June 2019, and finally, Senior R&D Engineer from June 2019 until May 2022. Currently, Matthew Bainsmith is working at Fluidx Medical Technology (GPX Embolic) as an R&D Engineer and Project Manager since May 2022.

Matthew Bainsmith earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry with a Chemistry minor from Virginia Tech in 2009. Matthew further pursued their education at the University of Utah, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from 2012 to 2014. Additionally, Matthew obtained three certifications: SSGB from the ASQ - World Headquarters in December 2015, CQE from the ASQ - World Headquarters in December 2017, and SSBB from the ASQ - World Headquarters in May 2018.
