Lionel da Silva has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Lionel started their career in 2010 as an Intern Web Designer at Criotiv. Lionel then moved on to Creamer Media, where they worked as a Graphic Designer, Multimedia Designer, and eventually became a Senior Digital Designer. In 2013, Lionel started their own venture called "i am Lionel" as a Recording Artist and Videographer. During this time, they released a documentary about their journey as a musician and continues to release songs on various platforms. In 2018, Lionel joined Flume as a Senior UX/UI Designer and eventually became the UX Lead, leading a team in user research, usability, and visual design.

Lionel da Silva's education history includes completing multiple courses in User Experience from The Interaction Design Foundation in 2022-2023. Before that, from 2008 to 2010, they obtained a degree in FLAGProfessional Web Designer, specializing in Web Design and Graphic Design, from FLAG. Their earlier education consists of completing a Scientific-Humanistic Course of Visual Arts at Highschool in Portugal from 2005 to 2008, focusing on Design and Visual Communications. In addition to their formal education, Lionel has obtained various certifications in different aspects of design from The Interaction Design Foundation.
