Marcel Beekman

Marcel Beekman is a seasoned professional in the field of chemical engineering with extensive experience spanning over three decades. Currently serving as the Director of Process Engineering at Fluor Corporation since 2008, Marcel has successfully conducted projects for prominent clients such as Tasnee and Sabic in Saudi Arabia, Aurubis and ExxonMobil in Belgium, and Shell and Teijin Aramid in the Netherlands. Prior to this role, Marcel spent 21 years at AkzoNobel, where responsibilities included transforming a 110kta Diaphragm Chlorine Electrolysis Plant into a Membrane Plant and managing the cessation of chlorine transportation in the Netherlands. Marcel also played a critical role as a Process Engineer and Technical Specialist in improving the Viscose Filament Yarn Production Process. Marcel holds a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Twente, obtained between 1990 and 1994.
