Ian Harper CEng MIMechE

Ian Harper has a strong and diverse work experience spanning various industries. Ian has recently worked as a Test and Applications Engineering Manager at FLUSSO LIMITED since March 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Projects Director at Alchemie Technology Ltd from July 2022 to February 2023.

Ian also has a significant tenure at Cummins Generator Technologies, where they held multiple roles. From June 2020 to July 2022, they worked as the Global Manufacturing Projects Leader, responsible for overseeing various manufacturing projects globally. Ian also held the role of Manufacturing Engineering & Quality Manager from July 2018 to July 2022, where they managed the Plant Quality Team and implemented quality processes and standards. Earlier, from July 2017 to July 2018, Ian worked as the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, overseeing manufacturing engineering activities and the introduction of a new product range.

At Xaar, Ian served as the Process Engineering Manager from November 2015 to June 2017, leading a team in developing manufacturing processes for digital inkjet printheads. Ian also held the position of Section Manager - Product Engineering from December 2013 to November 2015, managing operations activities for multiple products. Prior to that, they worked as a Product Engineer from May 2012 to November 2013, responsible for a single product within the production line. Ian began their tenure at Xaar as a Process Engineer from January 2011 to May 2012, focusing on improving manufacturing processes and yield.

Before joining Xaar, Ian gained experience at Xerox (UK) Ltd, where they held various roles. As an Operational Quality Engineer from March 2009 to January 2011, they managed program-specific manufacturing and supply chain quality. Ian also served as an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer from September 2007 to March 2009, focusing on supplier quality. Ian started their career at Xerox as a Manufacturing Engineer from August 2005 to September 2007, overseeing the build process of new prototype digital office products. Earlier, from March 2001 to July 2005, they worked as a Specialist Technician.

Ian also has experience in the motorsports industry, having worked with various race teams. Ian served as a Number 1 Mechanic for a Formula 3000 race car at DAMS from March 2000 to September 2000. Additionally, they were a Mechanic for the Motorola DAMS Cadilac Northstar LMP1 at the 2000 Le Mans 24 Hours. Prior to that, they worked as a No 1 Mechanic at Diamond Racing Team from February 1999 to March 2000 and as a Race Mechanic for various race teams from June 1997 to February 1999.

Ian Harper CEng MIMechE has a comprehensive education history. Ian obtained a Bachelor of Engineering with Honors (BEng Hons) in Mechanical Engineering with Automotive Design from Brunel University London. Ian attended this university from 1994 to 1997. Prior to that, Ian Harper attended Forest School in Winnersh, Berks, from 1987 to 1994, although their specific degree and field of study during that time are not provided.

In addition to their education, Ian Harper has also obtained the certification of CEng from the Institution of Mechanical Engineers in September 2013.
