Eric Gardell has over 8 years of work experience, beginning with a role as a Lifeguard at the Merrimack Valley YMCA in 2013. Eric then worked as a Lifeguard at the Brooks School in 2014. In 2017, they worked as a Research Assistent at the Institut für Fahrzeugtechnik. In 2018, they were an Intern at BMW M. In 2019, Eric worked as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Rhode Island and as a Mechanical Design Engineer and Data Scientist at Sensata Technologies. Eric created a web application which was used in a customer Proof-of-Concept to demonstrate the performance of Trailer on-board-weight sensors and leveraged Azure Databricks and Apache Spark to create ETL pipelines. Eric also designed mounting solutions for on-board-weight sensors for 53' Trailers and designed Magnetics simulations using Python to accelerate development of a Magneto-Resistance based Position Sensor to measure brake pad wear. Eric currently works as a Controls Engineer at Flux Marine Ltd. since 2022.
Eric Gardell obtained their High School Diploma from North Andover High School in 2014. Eric then attended the University of Rhode Island from 2014 to 2019, earning a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts in Mechanical Engineering and German respectively. In 2017, they studied Maschinenbau at Technische Universität Braunschweig. Eric is currently enrolled in a Master of Science in Data Science program at Rochester Institute of Technology, which they began in 2022 and is expected to complete in 2024.
