Andrew Young has a long and varied work experience. Andrew began their career in 1993 as a Visiting Researcher at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. In 1994, they moved to The World Bank, where they worked as an Analyst, performing studies and financial analyses, managing consultants, and providing renewable energy policy guidance to governments in Central and South Asia. In 2000, they co-founded Intellect Business Apps, an enterprise business process management software company, and served as President. In 2008, they became President of Diabetes in Control, Inc., an all-digital media company dedicated to helping medical practitioners battle the diabetes epidemic. In 2014, they became President and CEO of CoreMedica Laboratories, a clinical reference lab for blood diagnostics, and President of Hiper LLC, a subsidiary of eHealthcare Solutions. From 2016-2017, they worked as a Strategy, Business Development, Regulatory, and Clinical Affairs Consultant for Fluxergy, and in 2018 they became a Consultant for the UCLA Technology Development Group. In 2017, they also became President of HealFlow LLC, a clinical research company.

Andrew Young has a diverse educational background. Andrew obtained their MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management between 1998 and 2000, with a focus in General Management, Entrepreneurship, and Marketing. Andrew also holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, which they obtained between 1988 and 1993. Additionally, they have obtained a range of certifications, including a Clinical Research Associate Degree from The CRA Academy in March 2018, Protecting Human Research Subjects from the National Institute of Health in February 2018, Clinical Trial Project Management Training - Intermediate from Barnett International in April 2016, Good Clinical Practice Certification from NIDA Clinical Coordinating Center in February 2018, and IATA Dangerous Goods Training from Mayo Medical Laboratories in February 2018.
