Malek Hijazi

Malek Hijazi has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering and project management. Starting in 2016, they co-founded and served as the Chief Technology Officer at Fateshli until June 2017. In the same year, they worked as a Senior Software Developer at UNHCR. Malek then worked as a Senior Android Developer at Bankers Assurance SAL and Asharq Al-awsat Newspaper from 2017 to 2018. In 2017, Malek joined Waynak as a Senior Full Stack Developer, where they designed and developed the new version of the product and integrated with the Lebanese Red Cross. Malek also conducted interviews and hired engineers. Malek co-founded Toothpick in 2018 and served as the Chief Technology Officer until September 2021. During their time at Toothpick, they managed a team of developers, created a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) that received funding, and scaled the system for four countries. Malek worked as a Blockchain Consultant at Diwan Videos from November 2021 until April 2022. Malek then served as a Technical Project Manager at Stealth from October 2021 to December 2022. Currently, Malek works as a Staff Software Engineer at Flyp since June 2022. Throughout their career, Malek has demonstrated expertise in project management, software development, team management, and integration.

Malek Hijazi obtained a Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, General from Hariri Canadian University in the years 2008 to 2012. In addition to their degree, Malek has obtained various certifications, such as "The Fundamentals of Digital Marketing" from Google Digital Garage in April 2022, "Foundations of Project Management" from Coursera in October 2021, and "Learning Node.js," "Node.js Essential Training," "Agile Software Development: Code Quality," "Continuous Integration: Tools," "Interaction Design: Dashboards and Visualization," "Systems Thinking," "Creativity: Generate Ideas in Greater Quantity and Quality," "Strategic Thinking," and "Leadership in Tech" from LinkedIn at various times ranging from 2020 to 2021.
